Miami & Erie Canal
The Miami & Erie Canal began after the February 4, 1825 Ohio Canal Act and was completed in 1845. The Canal was used for almost a century but died due to Railroads and a historic flood of 1913, which damaged and flooded it with sediment and debris.

Website is under Development
It's taking me longer than I expected to do over 1000 images of the Cincinnati Subway construction photographs enhance and colorize each one in 4K. The Black & White Gallery is up the colorized is up but I am still adding descriptions to each photograph. I have a test page up for February 1920 more to come.

Why
I have always had a fascination with the incomplete Cincinnati Rapid Transit system (Cincinnati Subway) since I was a little kid. One of my degrees is an Anthropology degree from the University of Cincinnati. I thought it would be nice to present these images enhance and colorize them for people to enjoy its interesting history. If you would like a copy of the images for educational or the color ones for commercial use email images@cincinnatisubway.us
